Welcome to Abacus Belsize Primary School website. 

Abacus is a school where every child THRIVEs

It was with great excitement and enthusiasm that we opened the doors to our first pupils at Abacus Belsize Primary School in September 2013. We are now a complete school, running from Reception to Year 6.  As a team, we are committed to building a school that is the local school of choice for Belsize Park residents and the surrounding area. We are dedicated to delivering an exciting and enriching curriculum to all of our pupils.

We look forward to welcoming our pupils and families through the door and look forward to planting and growing learners of the future. Children at Abacus enjoy coming to school. They bring enthusiasm and joy of learning the moment they walk through the gate. Creating a safe and positive learning environment is key for all staff at Abacus and our children THRIVE as they are free to make mistakes that they learn from.

At the start of this academic year, we asked our team to record what they thought about the teaching and learning they provide at Abacus and they came up with the following words and phrases:

Staff at Abacus love coming to school and love sharing the achievements, both large and small, of the children we spend our days with. Teaching staff strive to make learning fun and engaging but also purposeful. Children leave Abacus with deep thinking skills and a thirst to find out more!

Please note that we are a car-free, walking school. We appreciate your support in helping us to enforce this.
